Drawing from my training and experience in a variety of traditional martial arts I blend the theories and axioms of classical combat with the professional rules of engagement required for modern law enforcement. The resulting programs are effective, realistic and time tested for street level use.
For me teaching is a full time occupation. I have traveled since 1996 presenting defensive tactics and use of force training to thousands of officers around the world on four different continents through my company RRB Systems International.
I have written complete training programs, course curriculum and a variety of articles for professional magazines and online websites and continue to develop new methods for managing subject resistance.
I am a subject matter expert for the State of Florida Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission (CJSTC) and have served as a subject matter expert for the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) . My opinions regarding use of force and tactics have appeared on ABC, CBS, NBC, NPR, USA TODAY and a variety of local newspapers and national magazines that educate a broad audience on unfolding events and police procedures.
I have created and patented non-lethal defensive gear for police and corrections use and continue to sell and train officer’s in the use of these tools.
